If you enjoy 2D platformers and 2D games, then this should be on your list. It offers exceptional gameplay with several unique twists, an unforgettable soundtrack and an enthralling story of its own, based on Wario Land.
Pizza Tower features an amusing tale of Peppino Spaghetti, the fumbling proprietor of a pizzeria, who must battle an unscrupulous pizza tower in order to safeguard his business from being shut down. Although it is sometimes a little too much it's quirky and funny, and makes for a good ride. Plus it offers an amazing soundtrack that was inspired from Wario Land games, 2D Sonic as well as other popular games in its genre!
There are many notable tracks included in Pizzaface Battle, such as its main menu theme and rendition of Ludwig van Beethoven's 3rd movement (presto agitato) as well as one that plays in iterations of pizza-themed battles with this track having been through multiple iterations over time and including an accelerated version. Furthermore, during one of PTG's streams, it was made clear that Peppino's Body Slam move uses the same mechanics as virtual Boy's Wario Land's body slam moves.

Story
Pizza Tower displays its influences with pride, drawing inspiration from early 90's cartoons as well as 2D platformers from Nintendo and Nintendo, as well as brand mascots hopping around on pizza-destroying sticks to form its DNA. This combination of references results in something truly original that's enjoyable and insightful for an indie game.
The design of levels is among the game's advantages. While some levels can be more challenging than others, they never appear unfair or oppressive due to the absence of conventional difficulty levels, which keeps the game fresh. Peppino retains his invincibility from Wario Land and even encountering enemies can only stun and reduces his combo meter; pitfalls are not deadly; collectibles and hidden areas are easily found, and escape sequences provide ample countdown times that let brave players attempt one last attempt before escape sequences give plenty of time to get out of the area!

In addition, the animation is smooth and silky smooth, for an the most smooth experience that could fit in nicely in any collection of indie games particularly for who are fans of the Wario Land series like me.
